Volunteering
All of the below services include a free meet and greet, so that you and most importantly your pet have the opportunity to get to know me before any booking is made.
Before Molly and Mascotas, I volunteered for six months at an animal shelter in Mexico - Amigos de Animales, who I proudly support through my business. 5% of all profits at Molly and Mascotas are donated to my Amigos family in Mexico. That means every time your pup joins me on a walk, you are helping to feed a stray dog or funding vital medication for sick animals, how paw-some is that!
I spent six months at the shelter, four of these months as head volunteer and in charge of overseeing my fellow volunteers. I arranged work rotas and assigned the daily tasks out such as walking, cleaning, feeding, administering medicine, dog training and social media updates. As head volunteer I was responsible for speaking with adopters in the USA and Canada and helped match the families to their perfect pup. During my time, I successfully matched over fifty dogs to adopters and still get pup-dates from adopters to this day, which truly warms my heart.
My time at the shelter provided me with invaluable experience in animal care and all the highs and lows that come with it. I invite you to take a look at some photos of my time there. Please note, animal care in 40 degree heat is not a glamorous job so do bare that in mind when viewing!
